The Flying Musicians Association (FMA), founded in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN #80-0433326) for pilots who are also musicians that welcomes all proficiency levels and musical genres. It’s the passion for aviation and music that counts! The skills required to play an instrument and fly an aircraft have marked similarities, from precision and multitasking to listening and fine motor skills. By educating others about these common attributes, we hope to further interest in both flying and music. We strive to share our passions in order to inspire, educate, encourage, and assist others by creating enthusiasm and promoting personal growth through presentations, performances, networking, and scholarships.
